The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow -- but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. Casey and Aaron's inner critics take on a life of their own when other restaurant patrons transform into supportive best friends, manipulative exes and protective parents, who sing and dance them through ice-breakers, appetizers and potential conversational land mines.

When Annie's husband John dies of leukemia, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow Women's Institute members to pose nude with them for an "alternative" calendar, with a little help from hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence. The calendar is a success, but Chris and Annie's friendship is put to the test under the strain of their newfound fame.
